Our
theme this term is 'A Celebration of Cultures'. To begin this
integrated topic, we chose a country that began with a
letter of our title. We used our geometry skills to enlarge the flag
of that country and present it in the shape of the letter. We all did
very well and it increased our interest in flags and their use of colour and
symbols.
We then chose a country or flag to research. We found out all sorts of interesting information about the meaning behind the colours and symbols used on each flag. They gave us a better understanding of how flags can represent and celebrate the culture and history of a nation. We used our enlarging skills again to re-draw the flag and focused on making posters that were eye-catching!

I enjoyed learning about different flags. I also like drawing tigger
