In Room 11 we have been learning about Native Trees and procedure writing. Over the past couple of days we have been reading some articles about Harakeke and the traditions and rituals associated with it in the Maori culture. We wrote a piece of procedure writing about how to collect the Harakeke. Yeaterday we went up to the Junior Playground and collected 2 pieces of Harakeke each.
Tomorrow we are going to be weaving a flax flower.
that was so much fun making those hope to make it in the future :)
